Understanding your contact growth tells you whether your lead generation efforts are working. This report shows how many new contacts you are adding over time and which sources are driving the most growth.
Viewing Contact Growth
- Navigate to Analytics > Reports and find the Contacts section.
- The growth chart shows new contacts added per day, week, or month (depending on your date range).
- Below the chart, the source breakdown shows where contacts came from:
- Forms: Contacts who submitted a website form.
- Import: Contacts added via CSV or API import.
- Manual: Contacts created directly in the CRM.
- Referral: Contacts attributed to a referral source.
- Other: API or integration-created contacts.
Activity Metrics
The activity section shows how engaged your contacts are:
- Active contacts: Contacts with email opens, clicks, or replies in the last 30 days.
- Inactive contacts: Contacts with no activity in 90+ days.
- Engagement rate: Percentage of your list that is active.
Tip
If your inactive contact count is growing faster than your active count, consider a re-engagement campaign or list cleanup. A smaller, engaged list outperforms a large, stale one.
