This guide walks you through creating a lead capture form, customizing its design, and embedding it on your website. By the end, you will have a live form collecting submissions directly into your CRM.
Step 1: Create the Form
- Navigate to Marketing > Forms and click Create Form.
- Give your form a name (e.g., "Contact Us", "Free Consultation Request").
- Choose a form type: Lead capture, Contact form, Feedback survey, or Custom.
Step 2: Add Fields
- Click Add Field to add input fields to your form.
- For each field, configure:
- Label: What the visitor sees (e.g., "Full Name").
- Type: Text, email, phone, dropdown, checkbox, or textarea.
- Required: Toggle on for essential fields.
- Placeholder: Example text shown in the input before typing.
- Drag fields to reorder them.
Step 3: Customize Appearance
- Click the Style tab in the form builder.
- Set your button color, font, and border radius to match your website.
- Write a custom submit button text (e.g., "Get Started" instead of generic "Submit").
- Set the success message or redirect URL shown after submission.
Step 4: Embed on Your Website
- Click Publish to make the form live.
- Click Embed Code to copy the HTML snippet.
- Paste the snippet into your website's HTML where you want the form to appear.
- For website builders (Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace), use the custom HTML or embed block.
- Alternatively, copy the direct link to share the form as a standalone page.
Step 5: Test Your Form
- Visit your website (or the direct link) and submit a test entry.
- Go to Marketing > Forms, click your form, and verify the test submission appears in the Submissions tab.
- Check that a new contact was created (or updated) in CRM > Contacts.
Tip
Use descriptive submit button text that tells visitors what happens next. "Book My Free Consultation" converts better than "Submit".
