The Audit Log records every significant action in your workspace — who did what, and when. It is essential for accountability, troubleshooting, and security reviews.
Steps
- Navigate to Tools > Audit Log in the sidebar.
- You will see a chronological list of all actions, most recent first.
- Use the filters to narrow results:
- User — Filter by team member
- Action Type — Filter by action (created, updated, deleted, exported, etc.)
- Entity Type — Filter by record type (contact, deal, task, email, etc.)
- Date Range — Filter by time period
- Click any entry to see details including the old and new values for field changes.
What Gets Logged
- Contact, deal, and task creates, updates, and deletes
- Email sends and campaign launches
- Automation activations and deactivations
- Team member invites, role changes, and removals
- Settings changes (billing, integrations, domain verification)
- Data exports and imports
- Login events and password resets
Exporting the Audit Log
- Apply your desired filters.
- Click Export in the top-right corner.
- Choose CSV or JSON format.
- The file downloads to your computer.
Tip: Review the audit log regularly if multiple team members manage the same contacts. It helps catch accidental deletes or unintended field changes.
